Molarity and mole calculator

Unit arithmetic between mass, amount of substance and molar concentration. You enter every number, including the molecular weight; nothing is pre-filled or suggested. Use a decimal point (2.5, not 2,5).

Choose a calculation

Mass and molecular weight to amount of substance (mol, mmol, µmol, nmol, pmol).

Formulas

  • Amount: mol = mass (g) ÷ molecular weight (g/mol).
  • Mass: g = mol × molecular weight (g/mol).
  • Molarity: mol/L = mol ÷ volume (L). 1 mM = 1000 µM.
  • Mass for a molarity: g = mol/L × volume (L) × molecular weight (g/mol).
  • Units: 1 g = 1000 mg = 10⁶ µg. 1 L = 1000 mL = 10⁶ µL.

The molecular weight is the value you type. The compound list only copies the molecular weight shown on each product page; for a salt form, use the formula mass of the form you actually weigh (see counter-ions in synthetic peptides).
